Micheal Rice combines autobiography with an exploration into the cognitive dissonance between the wider Black Lives Matter and the contradicting queer and transphobia within African American communities. Stepping into barber shops and confronting the role of religion, this documentary is provocative and insightful as well as full of love for queer and trans Black folk for our fight and defiance against the norms.
