Contemporary magical realism at its most endearing. This frothy Chilean comedy feels like a warm spring afternoon in 2011. Pablo is our cute gay bestie, trying to get by as an amateur actor by subletting his apartment in Ñuñoa and simping for his ex-boy (now a rather basic YouTuber). We float through his daily life alongside the animated ghost who has mysteriously taken refuge in his apartment, and his bed. The film’s easy, playful unfolding provides a joyous moment to breathe in the radical simplicity of quotidien queerness.
