This is the dreamy sad gay cowboy movie to keep your summer haze gleaming with the urge to process family trauma and open up to real intimacy while having lots and lots of casual sex. Casey, a young man running from a small-town scandal, is down and out in Sydney, where he meets Tib who has baggage of his own. They have instant chemistry and go about exploring intimacy, power, family, and healing from every position. It is well-worn queer film territory, but feels fresh, truthful and gorgeously cinematic in these skilled hands.
